It’s our Birthday! 

This is our very first newsletter and we have much to tell you about what is going on around here. We are in the process of launching the all New Informative Web Site about the City of Newnan and the surrounding areas called The Newnan Guide. Some business owners have already climbed aboard with their ads and others will soon follow. We are trying to produce a city site that contains ALL of the information you could ever want or need. We need your help in getting it done. The shell is here and ready to accept the data. It’s up to you and us to make sure we don’t miss anything or anyone who should be listed here. Local Happenings

The Holiday Season is already here! Can you believe how fast this year has gone by? Personally, time is going way too fast for me. Don’t blink because you might miss something! All of the stores and businesses are getting ready for the big shopping season. Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations are already being displayed everywhere and I’m not even out of the Summer mode yet. How many times have you been asked, “Do you have all of your Christmas shopping done yet?” Don’t you despise that? Nope, and I probably won’t be finished until Wal-Mart closes on Dec 24^th. I’m usually not done even then, but this year will definitely be different because I no longer have to go into Atlanta to do any shopping. We now have it all here in Newnan! Check out all of the new shopping stores now located in Newnan.

Our Progress

The Newnan Guide has now been ranked and listed in the Google Search Engine. We are now a part of the Google Family. We are using Google Mail, Google Calendar, and Google Documents in support of The Newnan Guide Web Site. All of these tools work very well with our web site and will prove to be very valuable to our visitors and members.

 We just launched our very own Forum with Delphi Forums. This is a place where Newnanites can meet and talk about things going on in Newnan. It’s a community Forum and already has over 16 separate categories for you to choose from and add to. We have a Meetings board, a Yard Sales board, a Schools board, a Teen’s Board, a Sports board, and even a Complaint board. There are several others. It’s FREE and easy to sign in to. Come and join us on the only public forum about the City of Newnan on the web.
